    How the check works

    1. Share the required details

Send your insurer, identity and preferred appointment information through WhatsApp.

    2. We check the policy

A human coordinator checks geographic coverage, eligible providers, co-payment or deductible, and direct-billing availability.

    3. Choose a confirmed route

We return the currently eligible private-hospital and city choices, or explain the self-pay alternative.

    Two possible care paths

    If coverage is confirmed

    Eligible private-hospital options

We share the private-provider and city choices supported for the confirmed policy. Direct billing remains subject to the insurer's final terms, co-payment and deductible.

If the proposed route is not covered

    Public Grade 3A self-pay options

We can instead coordinate suitable public Grade 3A hospital options. Public-hospital care is treated as self-pay unless a specific hospital and policy are separately confirmed.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I use international health insurance at hospitals in China?

Yes. International health insurance policies (such as Bupa, Cigna, Allianz, and MSH) can be used at eligible private hospitals and international departments in China, subject to policy benefits, geographic coverage, and network verification.

How does direct billing work for hospital care in China?

When direct billing is active between your insurer and the hospital, covered outpatient and inpatient medical fees are billed directly to the insurer. Any deductible or co-payment is settled on site, and pre-authorisation is confirmed before booking.

Can international insurance cover care at public Grade 3A hospitals?

Public Grade 3A hospital care is generally treated as self-pay, with patients paying the hospital directly and submitting itemized invoices for claim reimbursement, unless the hospital's international medical department has a direct-billing agreement with your insurer.
