240-Hour Visa-Free Transit
Ideal for Medical Tourism! If you transit through China to a third country/region (e.g., USA → Beijing → Hong Kong → USA), you can stay up to 10 days (240 hours) without a visa. Read the official 240-hour transit policy →
How it works:
- Book a ticket: Country A (Origin) → China (Transit) → Country C (Destination)
- Country A and C must be different (Hong Kong/Macau count as different regions)
- Upon arrival, apply for the 240-hour temporary entry permit at the border
- Use the ten days for your checkup and, if you wish, some travel
